Cedar Ridge Evangelical Free Church
Wedding Policy
1. Cedar Ridge Evangelical Free Church recognizes marriage to be between one woman and one man.
2. There is no fee for the use of the Church facility for weddings of members of Cedar Ridge EFC.
3. Non-members of Cedar Ridge EFC will be required to pay a $200 fee. These fees must be paid prior to the wedding.
- Non-members of Cedar Ridge EFC are required to pay a $200 deposit for lost or damaged church property. The deposit shall be paid before the wedding date is set aside on the church calendar. The deposit shall be refunded within two weeks after the wedding upon determination by the church’s deacon’s board that loss or damage has not occurred.· This deposit in no way limits the financial responsibility of the wedding party for loss or damage to the church. The bride and groom accept full responsibility for any and all loss or damage resulting from activities involved in and surrounding the wedding ceremony, the rehearsal and any other activities related to the wedding.
5. Members and non-members of Cedar Ridge EFC are responsible for contracting with persons to provide music. They are also responsible for contracting with persons to operate the church’s sound system and projector system. The church requires that only approved persons perform these functions.
6. All illegal drugs, alcohol and all profanity are expressly prohibited on all church premises. Tobacco products are prohibited within the church facilities.
7. Clean-up of the church facilities, including all areas used by the wedding party (entry, Sanctuary, crockpot alley, kitchen…) is the responsibility of the wedding party.
· The wedding party may hire the Cedar Ridge custodial crew to clean post wedding activities.
8. The wedding party is responsible for church furniture and property to be returned to defined locations post wedding activities.
9. The Cedar Ridge EFC elder board will be required to approve all non-Cedar Ridge EFC pastoral staff requested to perform the wedding service.
