Church Decor

Use, storage and loan guidelines

Cedar Ridge Decorating Ministry Group has accumulated and curated a nice assortment of decorative items. While not necessarily of great monetary value, our collection is valuable to Cedar Ridge. It is our intent to use it to enhance the church building to create a welcoming, worshipful atmosphere. A secondary use is limited, occasional loaning materials to members. This document is to help provide some policy and guidelines to this practice.

Storage Areas:

  • Floral supplies and candles are maintained upstairs in the loft. Some arrangements are kept together, others are disassembled and stored in marked tubs.

  • Candles are in the lower right drawer. Scrap light colored wax is saved to melt down and make new candles. Candle stands and metalware is sorted on the table and shelf.

  • Pots, baskets and framed art along the north wall, along with wreaths and garland hanging on pegs.

  • Table runners are kept in the buffet drawer downstairs. Iron in lower right door. Ironing board in deacons closet.

  • Banners are kept in the broom closet behind the tables.

  • Overflow Christmas and Easter arrangements are kept in the bench seating- SE corner of sanctuary.

  • Christmas tree and garland in outside back closet.

  • Glassware is in crockpot alley upper cabinets . Cloth table covers are in the lower cabinets.

  • Fabric, tulle and some wedding décor is kept under the stairs.

Loans:

Our church décor is considered a ministry, and can be checked out for Cedar Ridge members for special events under the following guidelines.

  • Decorating Ministry Group leadership is contacted. Each occasion is assessed individually.

  • Items need to be transported carefully, and returned in a timely manner in good condition.

  • No payment is necessary, but for valuable or frequently used items, assurance of replacement is requested.

We accept donations and can be left upstairs in the floral supply room.
