Our History
We began with a small cluster of families that first gathered in January of 1988. By the beginning of March 1989, Joe Rostollan became the first pastor and continues in the role today. After briefly leasing and sharing space with a Harrisonville church, the congregation met for nearly 14 years in a leased space in the Southland Shopping Center in Harrisonville proper.
As the needs of the church grew, we sought property we could call our own. That property was discovered in September 2002 and purchased by November of that same year. It held a small home with great potential. In September of 2003, a ministry called “Hard Hats for Christ” came alongside the members of the congregation to begin work. Another year later, on September 5, 2004, the congregation held its first service in the new building.
To God’s glory, the project was constructed debt-free with more than 80% of the labor coming from the hands of those in the congregation.
