CEDAR RIDGE HOSPITALITY MINISTRY GROUP GENERAL POLICY
The purpose of the Hospitality Ministry Group is ultimately to live out the Word of God by serving others. To take responsibility for welcoming and receiving visitors coming for the first time, as well as current church members. Not evangelism, but organized friendliness. This done by way of:
- welcoming guests and each other with a warm, friendly reception.
- maintaining our coffee area, kitchen and providing refreshments.
- Organizing monthly church-wide fellowship dinners and seasonal events as a means of outreach, conversation time and collaboration to grow deeper in our relationships with each other.
- Providing organized meal giving centering around significant life events.
DUTIES:
Greeters need to make every effort to make a personal contact with every guest, to smile, look them in the eye, give them a firm handshake and validate their presence. To not get stuck in a conversation with too many questions, but to say hello, personally guide them to where they want to go or connect them with someone who can and move on. Focus on greeting, not conversing. There is a very narrow window of time for guests to show up, and the point is to not miss a single guest.
Weekly HMG Members: All of us are to have a mindset to cover each others duty in case of absence.

Monthly :
- Participate in monthly fellowships, draw in and guide others, including children to promote church-wide unity and collaboration.
